A Waste-to-Energy project in Cambodia is one step closer to becoming a reality, with GEI MEKONG finalising its company incorporation and taxation registration in Cambodia.
After a lengthy delay to the incorporation process thanks to the global Covid-19 pandemic, GEI MEKONG has completed its incorporation process, having its company name, Green Energy Investment Mekong Co. Ltd, registered with Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce, and taxation patents registered with the Taxation Department.
“This is an important step for our company. We have several projects in the pipeline in Laos and Cambodia which we are now seeking funding for and we can now confidently pursue those opportunities knowing that our legal incorporation requirements are finalised.” said Steve Morrish, CEO of SMCS GROUP and GEI MEKONG’s Chairman.
GEI MEKONG has 2 waste-to-energy projects that it has been working on, with the company looking to build Cambodia’s first WTE facility to process Phnom Penh’s industrial waste and a waste-to-energy facility in Vientiane, Laos.
GEI MEKONG’s registered office in Cambodia is situated at Number 206D, Norodom Boulevard, Tonle Bassac, Phnom Penh Cambodia.
