SMCS GROUP today announced that they have added a new waste-to-energy project to their list of current projects.
SMCS GROUP, through its joint venture partnership, GEI MEKONG, will be a share owner, non-operator in a new waste-to-energy project in Savannaket, Laos. The project will build a waste-to-energy facility that will initially house one twin-pyrolysis chamber diesel production line that will process 80 tonnes of municipal waste per day, producing 15,000 litres of bio-diesel per day.
SMCS GROUP and its partners are now seeking $14.7 million usd funding for the project which has support from the Laos Government and is ready to break ground pending confirmation of financial investment.
SMCS GROUP holds a 20% shareholding in GEI MEKONG; a company based in Cambodia and licensed to use GGII Pyrolysis Technology.
