There is no doubt that first responders who know how to administer first aid have saved countless lives.
Unfortunately, a lot of people think that knowing first aid is not important, have not learned first aid and do not know how to respond in the event of a medical emergency.
From sprains, cuts and abrasions to choking, drowning, epileptic fits and even heart attacks, being able to initially respond to a medical incident yourself and waiting for trained medical people to be notified and arrive, could be the difference between life and death.
SMCS RISK’s First Aid 4 Life division trainers are all Advanced Cardiac Life Support qualified and offer various First Aid Courses to individuals and companies in Cambodia and teaches them how to respond to a medical emergency. Last week 6 more people undertook that challenge and participated in their Basic First Aid Training Course.
Over a full day, participants learnt & practiced how to recognise signs & symptoms of a medical emergency, how to respond to those emergencies, how to perform CPR and how to perform injury assessments.
Every person should know how to perform first aid. If you would like to know more about SMCS RISK’s First Aid training courses, please contact their First Aid 4 Life Division via email.
